The 2018 Winter League and Development Leagues are underway with a huge first day of action.
There were 20 games held across the two competitions at the Cumberland Nepean diamonds at International Peace Park on week one.
In Winter League, Phoenix, Hills and Cumberland Force went through undefeated and have emerged as the frontrunners in the competition. Development League has Hit Squad and Macarthur on top with two wins and a draw, while Blue Jays had a win and a draw and have a game in hand.
The Winter League is an open age competition for women’s players, while the Development League will include boys and girls teams in the under-15 age group.
The women’s Winter League and girls Development League competitions will continue until May 25 and take place at several venues across Sydney.
The boys Development League competition starts May 6.
