A rain interrupted day was a busy one for NSW with the home state featuring in five of the seven games.
Just two games were completed in the girls draw with NSW winning both. However, rain in the night session meant only one of the scheduled six games were completed under lights with no further girls games. The wins have seen NSW move six points ahead at the top of the ladder and extend its unbeaten run to seven games, although Queensland still have a game in hand. A 16-2 win over South Australia and 7-0 victory over ACT were strong performances.
The NSW boys played three games on a busy day, defeating Western Australia 16-1, before a 12-4 loss to Queensland and finishing with a 15-0 drubbing of the ACT. In the ACT game, Ethan Field hit two massive home runs in a comprehensive performance for the side.
With rain causing havoc for the draw, more time will be made up tomorrow with action starting at 9.30am with five sessions throughout the day.
Stay up will all the action across the Softball NSW social media channels – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
