The first weekend of the 2018 State League season has already given us several unpredictable and exciting games, setting the platform for a great season ahead.
Four games were decided by a single run and another game was drawn in the first week of the tournament. And across the 13 games, 206 runs were scored.
Week 2 will be back at Blacktown International Sportspark on Sunday August 26.

Women’s
The women’s State League competition looks like it will be very close after the first round.
The Manly Eagles claimed a pair of wins to kick off the competition but results were split across the board.
The Sharks, Northern Storm and Panthers each had one win and one loss while Hills will be trying to get off the mark in week 2.

Men’s
Last years’ men’s champions – Dolphins – are off to the perfect start and share the top of the ladder with Titans, who had two close wins.
There is a logjam in the middle of the table with four of the competition’s eight teams sharing the points in the middle of the table.
Even the winless teams weren’t too far away with Tropics and Thurabredz – Rua each having a one run loss.
