State League coming to the business end of the season

The stage is set for an exciting play off series in the 2019 Women’s State League starting this Sunday at Blacktown International Sportspark.

Aussie Spirit Squad Members Taylah Tsitsikronis, Stacey McManus, Rachel Lack, Shannon Keevers and Tahlie Moore should all play key roles in their respective teams.

After 2 complete rounds the seedings for the final series are set. Sharks are number 1 seed after only dropping 1 game during the season and come up against 8th seed Hills in the first game of the day on Diamond 1. Whilst at the same time 4th seed Northern Storm will play 5th seed Norwest Wolves on Diamond 2. At 12:00 noon  2nd seed Manly Eagles will face up against 7th seed Phoenix on Diamond 1 and on Diamond 2 3rd seed Panthers will be up against 6th seed Sweet Heat. The format of the playoffs is double elimination with teams trying to avoid 2 losses which will end their 2019 season.

The Men’s State League has one more day to sort out the top 4. Tropics are leading the table going into the final day but have a game against 2nd placed Dolphins first up which could decide who will top the table going into the finals. United, Mounties and Thurabredz all have a chance to secure the final 2 spots and will have to win all their games to ensure a place in the semis.

SUNDAY October 20

The final day of the 2019 State League Season will be on October 27 at Blacktown International Sportspark.
