Penrith City has been crowned 2016 U19 Men’s State Champions for the 7th time but the first since 2006.

5 teams played in the 2016 U19 Men’s State Championship over the weekend Central Coast, Macarthur, Penrith City, Southern Districts and Sutherland.

4 teams made it through to the semi finals Penrith and Macarthur played the major semi with defending champions Macarthur coming out on top and moving straight through to the Grand Final. Sutherland were the first team eliminated with Penrith and Southern Districts to play in the Preliminary final. The Preliminary Final was a close game but Penrith City got out of jail winning 6-5.

The Grand Final was one of the best games seen for a long time with both teams staying strong offensively and offensively. Penrith City went into the last innings with a 2 run lead, Macarthur pegged back 1 run and had 2 runners on base when the final out was called, Penrith City won the game 6-5.
