The Project 10,000 Conference

Softball NSW hosted the Project 10,000 Conference in Rooty Hill over the weekend- a two-day event attended by many members of our community from within and beyond the state, including Softball Australia's National Pathway Manager Nick Frayne and Softball South Australia's State Operations Manager James Harris. The conference featured presentations and sessions which addressed many critical topics around building the sport's member base to 10,000 by 2027.

The sessions across the two days of the conference included-

- Nick Frayne on Softball Australia's Participation Strategy and Programs

- Paige Hyslop on growing younger membership

- Selwyn Williams on capitalising on Sporting Schools

- Jamie Barrington and Shiv Ranjit on building softball's product offer and profile

- Doug Freeman on retaining existing members

- Stuart Clark on his new role as CEO

- Donna Shaw on winning back lost members

- Craig Oberg on recruiting mature age members

- Chris Hall on the importance of innovation

 

The Project 10,000 Conference featured members from both Metro Associations including Softball Macarthur, Cumberland Nepean, Southern Districts, North Shore, Campbelltown, Penrith City as well as regional Associations including Newcastle, Wagga Wagga and Far North Coast. Apart from the previously listed presentations, the conference also provided many interactive opportunities and brainstorming sessions for attendees to interact with each other as well as with Softball NSW and Softball Australia.
