Southern Districts & Manly Warringah Take the Honours at the Under 10 State Championship

After a series of unforeseen postponements and rescheduling, the 2022 Under 10 State Championships was finally hosted at Blacktown International Sportspark over the recently concluded weekend. The tournament featured six Boys' teams and five Girls' teams and had on display some of the most exciting and entertaining tee-ballers from around the state.
Southern Districts dominated the Boys' Championship, remaining undefeated across both days to eventually face Georges River in the Grand Final. A tightly-contested game ensued, with the boys in green and yellow edging out their opponents by 17-14 to clinch the title.

The Under 10 Girls' Championship saw Manly Warringah display top-quality tee-ball, stacking up five dominating wins before reaching the Grand Final. Cumberland Nepean met them at the Grand Final but bowed out to a 25-2 defeat to ensure Manly's success at defending their title.

Players' Player Award Winners
For the first time ever at a State Championship, Softball NSW introduced the Players' Player Award at the 2022 Under 10 State Championships. The award was based on votes submitted by all players per participating team, with a winner declared by every team at the end of the Championship. The Player's Player Award winners were presented with a medal each at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Under 10 State Championship.
