Softball NSW Charity Day | Wrap Up
Published Thu 20 Mar 2025
Softball NSW is proud to announce that, together, we raised over $3,000 for the Melanoma Institute Australia during our Charity Weekend. This is an incredible achievement and a true testament to the strength of the Softball community when we unite for a common goal.
Across the state, we witnessed the incredible creativity of our associations as they found unique and engaging ways to support and promote this important cause. The passion and enthusiasm shown by players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters demonstrated just how much our community can rally together for a meaningful purpose. The Annual Charity Day has become a cornerstone of our softball culture, highlighting how our sport extends far beyond the field and makes a real impact.
The Melanoma Institute Australia plays a crucial role in raising awareness about sun safety and the risks of melanoma—an especially important message for the softball community. As a summer sport played under the Australian sun, protecting ourselves from harmful UV exposure is essential for everyone involved. Let’s continue to reinforce this vital message across all our associations: Stay Sun Smart.
