NSW Softball Members Recognised at 2023 Australia Day Honours

Softball NSW is pleased to recognise and congratulate Darrell Shephard, Julie Commins, and Anne Horne on their 2023 Australia Day Award recognitions (Order of Australia Medal).

The announcement was made as part of the Australia Day 2023 Honours List, which recognised 1047 Australians for their achievements. Appointments to the Order of Australia confer the highest recognition for outstanding accomplishments and service in the Australian honours system.

Softball NSW CEO Stuart Clark comments: “Darrell, Julie, and Anne have been great servants to the game of Softball across a number of roles, and truly deserve these honours. On behalf of the members of the Softball NSW community we congratulate them on receiving these prestigious awards.”

Darrell's OAM is specifically for service to Softball, whilst Anne is recognised for service to school sport (primarily Softball) and Julie is recognised for service to the community through a range of roles (primarily Scouts and Softball).
