Softball Australia is currently developing opportunities for Australian squads chosen in 2022, such as a series of proposed Summer Intensive Camps aimed at engaging with Under 14 and Under 16 athletes from an early age so they understand the expectations required from high-performance athletes. Players named in the three squads could also be included in their state’s Performance Training Centre, depending on the requirements of their respective state’s program, which is determined in conjunction with Softball Australia. Performance Training Centres are also a new initiative from Softball Australia that focus on developing emerging Australian softballers through fitness, skill, and performance training.
