Five NSW Reps Named in Australian Team for the U23 World Cup

Softball NSW is excited to note the appointment of five players as well as three officials from the state in the Australian team headed for the U23 Men's World Cup in Argentina.
Jack Besgrove, Thomas Cass, Ethan Field, Jeremy Garland and Ryan King have been included in the 16-man roster, while Blake Jackson, Tyler Kelly, Caden Keed and Hayden Shaw have been named as stand-by. Among the set of team officials tasked with assisting the team include the appointments of NSW's very own Peter Rainer as Assistant Coach, Tony Jackson as Video Analyst and Jamie Barrington as Team Manager.
Softball NSW CEO Stuart Clark shared his best wishes: “On behalf of SNSW and the SNSW community, I congratulate all NSW players who have been selected to represent Australia at the WBSC U23 Men’s Softball World Cup. My congratulations also go out to Peter Rainer, Tony Jackson and Jamie Barrington who have been appointed as Assistant Coach, Video Analyst and Team Manager respectively. This will be a great opportunity for all of them to compete on the world stage and we can’t wait to see them perform for Australia. We are all proud of their achievements and wish them every success.”
Australia will compete with 11 other teams from around the globe at Nafaldo Cargnel Stadium in Parana, Argentina, from 15-23 April 2023.
