2025 Joyce Lester Shield – Under 23 Women’s

DAY 1 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER

This week kicks off Nationals season, with first up to bat our Under 23 Women’s. After last year’s performance finishing 3^rd overall, the girls are all hungry to push even further to bring the shield home.

This year was an odd year for the Under 23’s not having a State Championship after being washed out twice. But nonetheless, our Blue Bloods have been hard at work putting in the hours at training to be the best they can.

Head Coach Janelle had a few words of inspiration heading into their Nationals:

“ENERGY DOES NOT LIE that is what this team is all about for me. When they bring their positivity, joy for the game and unbreakable team spirit there is nothing we can't do.

There is only success on and off the field for this team and it is a privilege for me to be on this adventure with them.”

Ryleigh Arnott:

“The NSW U23 National Team is a group of passionate athletes, each with their own story and drive, united by a common goal. With a mix of experienced players and fresh new faces, we come together, blending our individual skills, teamwork, and belief to push towards success. But it’s not just about what happens on the field; it’s about the moments we share, the memories we create, and the bond we build along the way. As a team that truly supports one another, we know there’s no dream too big.”

Caitlin Wilde

“The U23s team brings together players from all across NSW and a range of age groups. We’re excited to compete against talented teams from across the country, knowing the hard work we’ve put in has prepared us for this challenge.”

Assistant Coach, Jannette Edgtton:

“ ’THE HARDER YOU WORK, THE LUCKIER YOU BECOME’ and this team has become very lucky. 

It has been a great ride so far, as we have worked hard climbing to the summit of this incredible journey. As a team there is nothing that will hold us back in reaching our individual and team goals. 

TOGETHER we are unstoppable!”
