Our U16 Girls are competing this week in Nationals for the Esther Deason Shield. This year the U16 Girls are a fresh-faced team, consisting of 16 rookies, but they are making sure no one will treat them like newbies. Head Coach Neridah Wearne is still backing her girls to show they’re a force to be reckoned with. Neridah was recently appointed to the AIS National Generation 2032 Coach Program and was coaching in Melbourne last week with the Firestars, so she is ready for anything the competition brings.

The U16 Girls are full of energy and youth heading into their tournament, with all of them keen to make their names known around Australia. Travelling over to Perth they will sure be in for some heat and sunshine, but what better stage to carve their names in for the future of Softball.
