Following significant rainfall in and around Greater Sydney over the last week, changes have been made to the Softball NSW Events Calendar for the remainder of 2022.

2022 Under 16 State Championships

After an inspection of both Kelso Park North and Milton Park Softball Complexes this week, neither ground will be back up and running by the originally scheduled dates for the Under 16 State Championships (two weeks from now).

As a result, the Championships have been rescheduled to August, to provide Georges River and Campbelltown (with their respective Councils) the best opportunity to have the required diamonds playable and still host these Championships in 2022.

Should either of the fields be unable to hold their respective Championship by the new dates in August, the Championship will be moved to BISP.

In order to facilitate these date changes and the backup plans, and to give both events the best possible chance of going ahead, the Boys and Girls Championships have been rescheduled to different weekends (back-to-back).

• Girls' Championship: Venue: Softball Campbelltown; Dates: Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August 2022
• Boys' Championship: Venue: Georges River Softball Association; Dates: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August 2022

At this stage the draws for both events remain as previously advertised; however, changes may need to be made closer to the rescheduled dates, depending on field recovery.

2022 Open Men's State Championship

The Open Men’s State Championship has been rescheduled to Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July 2022 at Blacktown International Sportspark. At this stage, the draw for the event remains as previously advertised.
