What a great weekend !!!!!!!!
The U11 State Championships were held at the NSW Softball Centre at Blacktown International Sportspark over the Easter Weekend. The spectators were treated to some great action with the standard being raised from previous years.
In addition to the games there was heaps to do for all the family including Easter Hat Competitions, Poster Competitions, Easter Hunt, Lucky Player Draws where players could win bats, gloves and backpacks, Inflatable Hitting Tunnel, Baserunning Competitions and of course the music deck which was rocking all weekend.
In the Boy’s Division 2 pools played a Round Robin followed by a Double Elimination Round in the end Macarthur came out on top defeating Southern Districts 15 – 6 in the final.
The Girl’s competition was a very tight one with many close games after the Round Robin and Double Elimination defending champions Manly proved too strong for Hornsby in the Final running out winners 28 to 11.
Thank you to all the people who assisted over the weekend, we hope that everyone had a great time helping celebrate 70 Years of Softball in NSW and also 45 years of Teeball.
