Manly Warringah and Macarthur have reigned supreme at the U13 State Championships over the weekend at Macarthur.
The girls competition was very competitive with North Shore entering the playoffs as the favourites after making their way through the rounds undefeated. North Shore, Penrith City, Manly Warringah and Cumberland Nepean finished in the top 4 after the rounds. In the Major Semi Fional North Shore only just beat Penrith City 2 – 1 and the minor semi saw Manly Warringah alsdo only winning by 1 run 7 – 6 against Cumberland Nepean.
The Preliminary final was a one sided game with Manly Warringah dominating 11 – 1. The final was an exciting game with Manly Warringah winning 10 – 5 against a gallant North Shore Team.
Macarthur proved worth champions ion the boys competition remaining undefeated throughout the weekend. After the rounds Macarthur led Pool B and Sutherland came out on top in a very competitive Pool A with 3 teams finishin on 8 points behind Sutherland. In the end Cumberland Nepean and Macarthur won their right to contest the final buut Macarthur proved to be too powerful running away with the game 16 – 1.
The Girls State Cup Final brought togfether the 2 best teams over the weekend Orange and Newcastle and they didnt disappoint in the final with the game up for grabs until the final out. Orange won 3 – 2 and are the 2015 State Cup Winners.
