The 2017 NTA Blacktown Junior International Challenge has finished for another year.

Apart from the 42 games played the 2017 event saw a BBQ on the Diamond for 320 people, a coaches Teeball game, All Star games and a mixed training session for all the players and coaches.

The standard of the games was very high this year. ISA NZ took out the Boy’s Division whilst Japan Princess won the girls.

For the first time the Invitational Team beat Japan in the girls All Star Game however Japan proved too strong in the boys game despite a close game.

After arriving Friday and playing all weekend the Japanese took in the sights of Sydney and a Harbour Cruise on Monday before flying out Monday Night.

Nippon Travel Agency has been part of the program for 11 years and this year became the major sponsor of the event. SNSW would like to thank NTA for their support and look forward to an ongoing partnership.

Thank you to the many volunteers we had who assisted throughout the weekend in many roles it was greatly appreciated and made the event a success.

The 2018 NTA BJIC is set down for March 24 & 25.
