2021 Under 18 State Championships – Draw Update

2021 Under 18 State Championships – Draw Update

Following a grounds assessment at 2:30pm this afternoon, and significant work on the diamonds during the day at Blacktown International Sportspark (BISP), Softball NSW can confirm that at this stage, the 2021 Under 18 State Championships will still proceed across Saturday 12, Sunday 13 and Monday 14 June 2021.

However, we wish to advise that draw changes have been made for Saturday 12 June to accommodate required grounds work. At the current stage, no changes have been made to the draws for Sunday 13 and Monday 14 June.

Currently, some of the diamonds at BISP are not suitable for play. However, we are hopeful that all four diamonds will be available by the 2:30pm timeslot on Saturday afternoon.

Pending weather and diamond condition, further draw and/or time changes may be required across the weekend. Whilst our aim is to run the Championships over the Long Weekend as originally planned, the safety of the players and officials is of top priority. Softball NSW will endeavour to provide the best achievable experience, and we ask that teams and Affiliates work with us so that the Championships can proceed as smoothly as possible.
