Winter & Development Leagues Season Wrap

Winter & Development Leagues Season Wrap

May 26 saw the finals of the 2019 Winter and Development Leagues played at Blacktown International Sportspark.

The remaining 6 teams took to the diamonds to battle it out for the title of 2019 Winter League Champions. The first to drop out were Hornsby Wolves and Cumberland Force followed by Wanderers and Hit Squad leaving North Shore to head into their 8th game and final game of the double elimination against Phoenix.

Both teams found it hard to get hits off the pitchers Grace Wrixon (North Shore) and Mia Gilmore (Phoenix) and it wasn’t until the top of the 7th innings when North Shore managed to score a run by putting some pressure on the Phoenix line up causing errors.
