Sutherland are the 2017 Over 35 State Champions

The Sutherland Over 35 Women’s Team have gone through undefeated at the 2017 State Championship. This is Sutherland’s first title in this age group and the first in any division since 2014 when they were joint winners of the U19 Womens.

Sutherland and Manly Warringah were on top of their respective pools after the rounds and waited for their next opposition which were Newcastle and Cumberland Nepean. Both Manly Warringah and Sutherland proved too strong and were ready to head into the grand final full of confidence after to this stage not dropping a game.

In a tight game the runs were hard to find but Sutherland bats started to roll and with some tight pitching ran out winners 9 – 3.

Congratulations to the team members of Sutherland:

Nicole Burrow, Amanda Elliott, Michelle Gidney, Zara Masters, Colleen Minehan, Kelly Morgan, Clare O’Brien, Kellie Parker, Tina Piovesan, Lindsay Richardson, Jo Vartanian, Wendy Wedd.

Head Coach – Craig Richardson, Assistant Coach – Will Lutke, Manager – Tina Lutke, A/Manager – Chloe Minehan, Scorer – Sylvia Kohut, Bat Girls Chloe Lutke
