Manly Warringah win U12 Girl’s Title

8 teams participated in the 2019 U12 Girl’s State Championship at Blacktown International Sportspark over the weekend.

North Shore were undefeated in the rounds and went into the Grand Final as slight favourites after their convincing win over Manly Warringah earlier in the day 14 – 2. Manly Warringah who finished 2nd on the table headed into the rematch with confidence after amassing 83 runs for and only 27 against through the rounds.

The Grand Final was an exciting game from the outset with Manly Warringah scoring 2 runs in the first innings then North Shore scoring 1 in the bottom of the 2nd. Manly Warringah added another 2 runs with North Shore replying with 1 in the 3rd to take the score to 4 – 2. Manly Warringah came out with their bats on fire in the 5th scoring 5 runs in the top of the innings. North Shore couldn’t get their bats going in the bottom of the innings with the game finishing at 9 – 2.
