Macarthur made it 3 in a row to retain the U13 Boy’s State Championship but didn’t have it all their way on the way to the win.

After Day 1 the rankings saw Penrith City as one, Macarthur two, Sutherland 3, Georges River 4, Campbelltown 5 and Cumberland Nepean 6 with Orange, Newcastle and Southern Districts coming in 7th to 9th.
Day 2 saw the double elimination final series start with each team allowed 2 losses before being eliminated. Penrith City and Campbelltown were the first 2 teams to bow out of contention. Georges River made their way through to the final after defeating Macarthur and had to wait to find out who they would play in the championship decider. There was some outstanding Softball played in the final with the game seesawing for the first 4 innings before Macarthur managed to edge ahead 8 – 5 despite their best efforts Georges River could not close the gap and Macarthur were once again crowned State Champions.
