Blue Bloods Wrap Day 2

The NSW Blue Bloods have continued their good form on Day 2 of the Australian Championships not dropping a game at any of the championships.

The NSW Firestars were on fire with a 7-0 win over SA Starz and then a 6 – 1 win over WA. Rachel Lack starred with the bat hitting 2 Home Runs as well as a single and a triple for the day. Stacey Porter and Taylah Tsitsikronis also put the ball over the fence. Tahli Moore, Shannon Keevers, Michelle Cox, Bianca Abrahams and Tahli Moore all recorded hits for the day. The Firestars will have their work cut out for them on Day 3 coming up against Qld Heat and Vic Titans.

The U17 Men defeated Queensland 9-2 in their first game of the day then followed that up with a 11-0 win over WA. Jeremy Garland, Ethan Field and Zac Roberts came away with home runs but all of the hitters did their job well. Jack Davies (Triple), Caden Keed (Double & 2 singles), Jeremy Garland (HR, double), Ethan Field (HR, single), Boston Lowe (2 singles), Josh Banks (Double), Hayden Shaw (2 singles), Patrick Beach (single), Blake Becquet (single), Elliott Kirgan (single).

The U17 Women had 2 good wins the first over WA 6-3 then a convincing 7-0 win over ACT. Nicole Connacher continued her good form in the box with 4 hits for the day. Emily Paull (Triple & single), Hannah MacKean (Double), Ryleigh Arnott, Mackenzie Walker, Keeley Lennon, Madi Baker, Amber Gunn & Alyssa Mighell all had success in the box.

The U15 Girl’s Teams are performing well in Perth with Metro Orange and Green yet to drop a game. Green defeated Qld Fire 5-3 and Qld Flames 5-1 whilst Orange got up against Victoria 7-4 and ACT 18-0.  The Country Gold team went down to Qld Fire 10-2 and WA Gold 15-0 but took away a lot of positives from the day.
