2019 Awards Dinner

140 people attended the 2019 Softball NSW Awards Dinner held at West HQ.

The night saw affiliates and clubs acknowledged for their achievements over the past 12 months.

Award winners and finalists were;

Affiliate of the Year

Finalists – Cumberland Nepean, Macarthur, North Shore, Penrith City

Winner – Macarthur

Country Affiliate of the Year

Finalists – Central Coast, Newcastle, Orange & Wagga Wagga

Winner – Newcastle

Governance Award

Finalists – Cumberland Nepean, Hornsby & Southern Districts

Winners – Southern Districts

Membership Award

Finalists – Central Coast,

Winner – Wagga Wagga Softball Association

Development Award

Finalists – Macarthur, Newcastle, North Shore, Penrith City

Winner – Penrith City Softball Association

Communications Award

Finalists – Macarthur, Penrith City, Southern Districts, Wagga Wagga

Winner – Wagga Wagga Softball Association

Club of the Year

Finalists – Cruisers Softball Club (Cumberland Nepean), Maitland Meteors (Newcastle), Strikers (Newcastle) & Wolves (Newcastle)

Winner – Strikers Softball Club

Homeplate Awards were presented to the Affiliates and Clubs who were in attendance on the night. Congratulations to Cumberland Nepean Softball Association and Newcastle Softball Association on being the only 2 Affiliates in NSW to gain Homeplate Status. In addition to these the following clubs who gained Homeplate Status; Strikers, Wolves, Maitland Meteors, Wahroonga and Castle Hill.

Cathy Kerr was recognised for her 30 years with Softball NSW.
